When one tries to analyze the Messi Magic, perhaps all one can come up with is that essentially the ball seems glued to his foot. Any other player in the same position would find the ball tackled away. Perhaps this is simply a matter of otherworldly fine motor skills & coordination and nanosecond instinct, but to have such skill seems a little improbable. No one could be that much superior. Magic seems the more plausible explanation. Messi Magic.
Here is an example of his “gluefoot” skill, scoring for Barcelona in their 4-1 win against Numanci on Saturday. Messi also got another goal, an assist, and almost a third goal. If Lionel Messi can maintain his current form, he seems an obvious choice for 2009 World Player of The Year. Enjoy the clip!
