The Corrigan Brothers are claiming Wayne Rooney as an Irish football hero.  And you thought Ireland wasn’t in the World Cup!

Wayne Rooney‘s parents are Irish, so fair enough.  How much weight should place of birth get in matters of allegiance, anyway?  After all, Rooney was born in Liverpool.  And perhaps he does play like an Irishman…
