We call it Soccer

The United States of America is hungry for this game the world calls football and success in it at a world class level.  Soccer is  the number one youth participation sport in the U.S. today, more popular even than football, baseball, basketball, or hockey, up to about the age of 13.

In the NBA improvement in play is being attributed to the soccer background many of the basketball players have; in the NHL, mini soccer has become a common part of the players’ warm-up, and yet professional and top level soccer in the USA is far behind other, smaller countries.

Youth soccer players grow up and buy season tickets to baseball, football, and basketball games, but increasingly they follow the MLS and world football, and pass their passion for the beautiful game on to their children, perhaps 5 million who are playing soccer this year.

The USA will become a force in world class soccer, it seems as inevitable as it is delayed.  This is Project USA.
