So who is on top right of the scoring charts right now?

  1. Samuel Eto with 23 goals for Barcelona in Spain’s Primera league is scoring a remarkable goal per game on average
  2. Vedad Ibisvic has 18 goals for Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga
  3. David Villa has 18 goals for Valencia in Spain’s Primera league
  4. Lionel Messi has 16 goals for Barcelona in Spain’s Primera league

While no individual is quite on pace with Cristiano Ronaldo’s goal frenzy of last year, Eto is close to that pace

The big story is the Barcelona scoring machine with 39 goals from just two players.  Amazingly, FC Barcelona has scored 70 goals over 23 games: they are averaging 3 goals per game.
